The Linn Connection

At Authentic High End, Linn isn't just another brand we carry—it's a core part of who we are. We do Linn flat-out, completely, and exceptionally well. Our commitment to Linn is unparalleled, and we are proud to offer everything they have to offer, right here with us.

We go beyond the typical dealer relationship; we’re truly part of the Linn family. We regularly visit their headquarters in Glasgow, where we immerse ourselves in their innovations and philosophy. This close connection extends both ways, with key members of the Linn team—Gordon, Joe, Katie, Indira, and even Gilad—visiting us here in Brussels. This relationship gives us a deep understanding of their work and the passion behind it.

We don't just sell Linn products; we live and breathe the Linn ethos. We understand what they do, why they do it, and we’re dedicated to sharing that philosophy with you. When you choose Linn at Authentic High End, you’re not just buying equipment—you’re joining a community that values exceptional sound, craftsmanship, and a shared love for music.

Linn Brussels - a Legacy of Sound

At Authentic High End, our deep-rooted connection with Linn traces back to the days of Stereotypes, the renowned audio store owned by Michel Campus. It was within the walls of Stereotypes that Steve first discovered Linn, guided by Michel’s expertise and passion for high-fidelity audio.

Michel didn’t just introduce Steve to Linn; he taught him how to truly evaluate a stereo system using Linn’s famous Tune Dem method. This approach, which focuses on musical engagement rather than just technical specs, became the foundation of Steve’s understanding of audio excellence. Over the years, Steve invested in several Linn systems through Michel, each one a step closer to audio perfection: from a Majik Exakt System with Akudorik speakers, to an Akurate Aktiv System with 242 speakers, then an Akubarik Exakt System, and ultimately, the pinnacle of Linn’s offerings, a Klimax Exakt system.

When Stereotypes eventually closed its doors, it marked the end of an era, but not the end of our journey with Linn. A few years later, encouraged by Mary-Ann, Steve decided to pursue his dream and establish Linn Brussels. This venture was born out of a passion for music and a deep respect for Linn’s philosophy—a passion and respect that were nurtured in the early days at Stereotypes.

Today, Michel remains an active supporter of our work at Linn Brussels, continuing to share his knowledge and passion for exceptional sound. Our history with Linn and Stereotypes is not just a story of high-end audio; it’s a story of mentorship, lifelong learning, and the pursuit of the perfect musical experience.

At Linn Brussels, we carry forward this legacy, offering you not just products, but a rich heritage of audio excellence and a commitment to helping you discover the best in sound, just as Michel once helped Steve.

High-End Mary - our very own LP12 Whisperer

At Authentic High End, we’re proud to introduce Mary-Ann, affectionately nicknamed High End Mary by those who know her well. Her journey into the world of high-end audio is as remarkable as it is inspiring.

When Mary-Ann first set foot in Steve’s apartment and laid eyes on his towering Klimax 350 speakers, she couldn’t resist a teasing remark: “Such big speakers. Are you trying to prove something?” Little did she know that this moment would be the beginning of her deep dive into the fascinating world of high-end audio.

Today, Mary-Ann is fully immersed in the audio world, with a particular passion for the Linn Sondek LP12 turntable. Her transformation into a true audiophile was guided by some of the best in the business. Both Linn’s top LP12 specialist, Gordon Inch, and the master LP12 tuner, Michel Campus, have taken Mary-Ann under their wing. With their patience, expertise, and unwavering dedication, they have helped shape her into our very own LP12 Whisperer.

Mary-Ann’s skill in setting up and fine-tuning the LP12 turntable has become legendary within our community. She approaches each setup with the same meticulous attention to detail that defines the world of high-end audio, ensuring that every LP12 she touches delivers the purest, most engaging sound possible.

Factory Visit to Glasgow - the Heart of Linn.

At Authentic High End, we believe that understanding the craftsmanship and passion behind Linn products is an essential part of appreciating their extraordinary quality. That’s why we regularly organize Linn Factory Visits—exclusive trips that offer our valued customers a unique opportunity to explore the very heart of Linn in Glasgow.

During these visits, you’ll be guided by none other than Gordon, one of Linn’s most knowledgeable and passionate experts. He will take you on an immersive tour through the entire factory, revealing the meticulous processes and innovative technologies that go into creating Linn’s world-renowned audio systems. From the precision engineering of the iconic LP12 turntable to the state-of-the-art assembly of Linn’s amplifiers and speakers, you’ll gain an insider’s view of how these masterpieces are brought to life.

But a visit to Glasgow wouldn’t be complete without indulging in another of Scotland’s finest offerings—whisky. As part of our trip, we make sure to enjoy a taste of this Scottish tradition, allowing you to savor the rich flavors of the region’s most celebrated distilleries.

These factory visits are more than just a tour; they are an experience that deepens your connection to the Linn brand and the people who make it all possible. Whether you’re a long-time Linn enthusiast or new to the world of high-end audio, these visits offer an unforgettable glimpse behind the scenes, where cutting-edge technology meets timeless craftsmanship.

It’s About PEOPLE.

While Linn’s cutting-edge technology and precision engineering are impressive, what truly stands out during our visits is the people—the Linn family—who bring these products to life.

A key example comes from Linn’s early days, when Ivor Tiefenbraun, the founder, asked for an LP12 to be brought from the factory. To everyone’s surprise, one employee had completed the entire assembly process alone. Inspired by this, Ivor decided that from then on, each Linn product would be assembled by a single worker, who would sign their name to the finished product. This ensures personal accountability and pride in every creation.

Today, every Linn employee is trained to assemble any product, fostering versatility and connection on the production floor.

Linn’s success is not just about technology, but about the people and craftsmanship behind each piece. It’s this human touch that makes Linn products truly special.
